I am currently writing for a fan made episode about Nightmare Moon defeating the mane six and what Nightmare Moon does to Equestria. Does this peak your interest?
If you want to write you should do so for the sake of it. Don't worry about how well it would be received, write for yourself, not for your audience. That produces the best work because your creativity isn't constrained.
Well, a lot of people don't really stop to realize that if Nightmare Moon won, it would've meant the apocalypse. No sun = Plants die = No food for the ponies!

I always have liked "what if" scenarios.
This is actually pretty interesting, it could be an alternate timeline to the show... it could possibly exist somewhere in the corners of the internet... I will begin a search! :3
